  11. Oops! I didn't see the earlier post about Deliverance ... I am a bit slow in
  12. reading my messages which have been stored for 5 days.

  14. A couple of people were asking about Tom Jones, pressed by Warner Brothers.
  15. The quality of this disc is in my opinion poor, but that is most likely
  16. because of the original print--some of the scenes which take place at night
  17. were barely watchable. The "letterboxing" is no big deal, it isn't an
  18. anamorphic movie. My copy had laser lock at the end of the one of the sides,
  19. similar to JFK which I complained about here many weeks ago. The sound in Tom
  20. Jones is "Dolby stereo" in the credits, and Chase Surround Stereo on the
  21. jacket. It also isn't worth getting excited about. This version of the film,
  22. by the way, is not the original, it's one which director Tony Richardson
  23. edited for re-release a couple of years ago.
