  17. I operate a landline dialup BBS with the support of the Alliance for 
  18. Community Media (nee NFLCP) and National Academy of Cable Programming 
  19. (the NCTA-affiliated L.O. folks) that deals with the issues you are 
  20. interested in.  It is located in Champaign, Illinois.  The phone number 
  21. is (217) 359-9118, 300-2400 bps, 8/n/1.  It has been in operation about 
  22. 7-1/2 years.

  24. The bad news is (a) you have to have a modem and pay your own long 
  25. distance charges to access it; and (b) as a result it's not too heavily 
  26. used.  The good news is (c) many of the ACM/NFLCP and NACP/NCTA movers 
  27. and shakers are seen there from time to time and (d) it is 
  28. *theoretically* accessible to more people than only those who have a 
  29. Usenet account.
