- I operate a landline dialup BBS with the support of the Alliance for
- Community Media (nee NFLCP) and National Academy of Cable Programming
- (the NCTA-affiliated L.O. folks) that deals with the issues you are
- interested in. It is located in Champaign, Illinois. The phone number
- is (217) 359-9118, 300-2400 bps, 8/n/1. It has been in operation about
- 7-1/2 years.
-
- The bad news is (a) you have to have a modem and pay your own long
- distance charges to access it; and (b) as a result it's not too heavily
- used. The good news is (c) many of the ACM/NFLCP and NACP/NCTA movers
- and shakers are seen there from time to time and (d) it is
- *theoretically* accessible to more people than only those who have a
- Usenet account.
