- The junior team has a hell of a lot more preparation time than the
- various NHL All-star teams will...actually since 1977, I think, the
- total is something like Soviets/Russians/CIS 9, Canada 5, Finland 1,
- Sweden 1...Gretzky played on a junior "All-star-team" in the late
- seventies, so the 1982 date is certainly incorrect.

- The success of the junior tournament and other younger age-group
- tournaments is actually an argument for an age-group Olympic tournament
- with an age-limit of say around 23...because then essentially all
- the top six hockey countries in the world would be equally competitive...
- and would be a showcase tournament for the emerging stars...rather
- than a chore for multi-million dollar professionals.
