- You may not have seen it, but it happens all the time -- kids love to
- push open the doors and watch the tunnel wall rush by. Either (or both)
- doors can be opened 3", to create up to a 6" gap to peer through. After
- 3" an interlock is supposed to kick in the emergency brake.

- I imagine the new doors will have much better sensors and be able to detect
- that the doors are not fully closed -- unfortunately, a handbag strap is
- less than 1/8" wide and I wonder if they can build the machines to that
- close a tolerance. If anything, dragging injuries should go down since
- wrists, arms, strollers, etc. should be more easily detected when caught
- in the doors.
