  22. You may not have seen it, but it happens all the time -- kids love to
  23. push open the doors and watch the tunnel wall rush by.  Either (or both)
  24. doors can be opened 3", to create up to a 6" gap to peer through.  After
  25. 3" an interlock is supposed to kick in the emergency brake.

  31. I imagine the new doors will have much better sensors and be able to detect
  32. that the doors are not fully closed -- unfortunately, a handbag strap is
  33. less than 1/8" wide and I wonder if they can build the machines to that
  34. close a tolerance.  If anything, dragging injuries should go down since
  35. wrists, arms, strollers, etc. should be more easily detected when caught
  36. in the doors.
