- Answer: NO. The "and Pacific" was added after the turn of the 20th century,
- I believe, to reflect that the Milwaukee was being turned into YET ANOTHER
- transcontinental, at the same time as the Western This and That (Gould roads).
- Later it was discovered that America didn't really need that many trans-
- continentals, but that's another story.
