  16. Great balls of fire.  If you believe that one you must believe
  17. almost anything.  In the 50's I rode those cars on the Suntan
  18. Special when it went via Watsonville with GS 4449 and the like before
  19. changing to two 2800 Consolidations for the run up the coast to
  20. Santa Cruz.  Top speed between San Jose and Gilroy was slightly over
  21. 100 mph clocked over several mileposts.  Even at that time the
  22. orange speed board posted 79 mph but this was a white flag train
  23. with observation car.
