- Yes, I have used my EOS 100 until its battery dropped dead. At the end
- the LCD display would come up correctly when I turned the main dial
- from L to P (or anything else), but everything went blank when I
- pressed the shutter release button halfways to activate the meter.
- My guess is that the LCD doesn't draw much of a current from the
- battery, probably significantly less than the meter.
- (And the camera refused to do anything if I pressed the button
- further).
- After switching battery the camera again worked normally (which of
- course was expected).
