- I can't find any specific information regarding the remote shutter
- contacts in the operators manual for a new 8008s.
-
- I had assumed it was just a simple contact closure, but a reference in a
- magazine to having to use a different resistor value when switching from an
- 8008 to an 8008s and using custom electronics to drive the remote shutter
- contacts, leads me to believe otherwise.
-
- At this point I am guessing, but perhaps you use a certain value of
- resistance across the contacts to simulate lightly pressing the shutter
- release button to turn on the metering circuitry, and then a dead short
- across the contacts to fire the shutter.
-
- Anybody familiar with this or where technical specifications beyond
- those found in the simple owners manual can be had?
