  11. I can't find any specific information regarding the remote shutter
  12. contacts in the operators manual for a new 8008s.  
  13.  
  14. I had assumed it was just a simple contact closure, but a reference in a
  15. magazine to having to use a different resistor value when switching from an
  16. 8008 to an 8008s and using custom electronics to drive the remote shutter
  17. contacts, leads me to believe otherwise.

  19. At this point I am guessing, but perhaps you use a certain value of
  20. resistance across the contacts to simulate lightly pressing the shutter
  21. release button to turn on the metering circuitry, and then a dead short
  22. across the contacts to fire the shutter.

  24. Anybody familiar with this or where technical specifications beyond
  25. those found in the simple owners manual can be had?
