- I have had experience with three
- causes of the scooting behavior.
- Worms, clogged anul sacs and
- material not completely passing
- thru the dog.
-
- My dogs eat grass constantly,
- and sometimes a long piece
- doesn't come out completely,
- so the dogs scoot to get it
- out. That is easy to figure
- out by checking the dog and
- the stools. To everyone concerned
- about the grass eating the dogs
- have been checked by two vets
- whose response is 'they like to
- eat grass'. The scooting from
- this does not happen often.
-
- When it's worms or anul sac
- problems the scooting is more
- than once a day. Both are
- fairly easy to remedy with
- attention (vet and or meds).
