- One reason dogs do this is when their anal glands are stopped up. If
- this is the case, the glands need to be cleaned out. Your vet can
- easily do this for you or you may learn to do it yourself. Personally,
- I've never done it myself. I've always let the vet handle it.

- BTW. If the glands are stoopped up and you do nothing about it, it
- could lead to health problems for your dog.
