- I would probably not recommend allowing your pups to do their business
- indoors. I made the mistake years ago trying to newspaper train my first
- puppy. Conan soon thought I *wanted* him to go indoors, not outside. And
- he would cry if I put him outside because he wanted to piddle indoors.
- Putting a piece of soiled newspaper and newpapers outside did nothing. He
- eventually learned because we started the second puppy (Cuawn) right and
- ushered him outside everytime he needed to go. Eventually Conan got the
- hint (he saw Cuawn being praised for going outside and wanted to be praised
- too).
-
- If I were you, I would keep the "piddle box" outside on the deck. But don't
- be surprised if the pups end up thinking it is ok to piddle anywhere on the
- deck. The real solution is to get them outside to the appropriate place
- to relieve themselves, but if this not convenient then I recommend you try the
- piddle box on the deck.
-
- Let me know how that works. It sounds clever.
