  23. I would probably not recommend allowing  your pups to do their business
  24. indoors.  I made the mistake years ago trying to newspaper train my first
  25. puppy.  Conan soon thought I *wanted* him to go indoors, not outside.  And
  26. he would cry if I put him outside because he wanted to piddle indoors. 
  27. Putting a piece of soiled newspaper and newpapers outside did nothing.  He
  28. eventually learned because we started the second puppy (Cuawn) right and
  29. ushered him outside everytime he needed to go.  Eventually Conan got the
  30. hint (he saw Cuawn being praised for going outside and wanted to be praised
  31. too).

  33. If I were you, I would keep the "piddle box" outside on the deck.  But don't
  34. be surprised if the pups end up thinking it is ok to piddle anywhere on the
  35. deck.  The real solution is to get them outside to the appropriate place
  36. to relieve themselves, but if this not convenient then I recommend you try the
  37. piddle box on the deck.
