- Interesting... Here in the Northeast, the field labs are the tall, leggy
- ones and the show labs are the short, thick ones ("English type"). In fact,
- some judges like the dogs so thick that a lot of show labs carry a *huge*
- amount of excess weight to give the appearance of heavier bone :+(. In
- contrast, the field dogs I've seen tend to be several inches taller, with
- long thin heads, skinny tails and about 10000 times the energy level! :+)
