- Oh am I glad to find other female cockatiel owners with the egg-laying
- problem.
- Blondie's about 6 years old, never laid an egg, until my husband and I
- brought home
- a small white rock (egg-sized, of course) from the beach and showed it to
- her...
- she immediately tried to roll it over with her beak.... then, later, she
- started doing
- the "do me" behavior, and a few months later, started laying eggs.
- Is egg-laying particularly hazardous to cockatiels as compared with other
- birds?
- She hasn't had a problem yet, and seems to lay about 4-6 every few months.
- Do your birds "drop" the eggs from their perches?!!!
- She's quite a silly bird.
- Where do you find calcium "supplements" - is it a liquid, power, pill???
- Thanks so much!!!
