  15.     Actually, I think Midrealm is only more restrictive in a formal 
  16. sense.  I *think* that all kingdoms have a clause that allows them 
  17. to bar any individual from fighting in Crown.  Midrealm has taken 
  18. that to an extreme.  However, I do not think it is all that hard 
  19. to get invited if one truly wishes to fight.
  20.     One other observation:  the Midrealm tourney is open to all 
  21. belted or baldriced fighters.  However, all who wish to contest 
  22. for the Crown, both the Chivalry and those invited, must send a 
  23. letter of intent, including their consort's name.
  24.     Disclaimer:  I am not a fighter.  I have never been a fighter.  
  25. I *have* been collecting armor bits for the last two years, and 
  26. plan to spend my Christmas vacation making armor.  One day I 
  27. maight even get authorized.  Don't hold your breath.
