  22.         One of the reasons why `god heads' tend to show no morals 
  23. or compassion is simply because they can do no wrong and suffer no 
  24. guilt.  You see, it is my understanding that these people will do 
  25. wrong, then pray for forgivness- which since god is something 
  26. created in the mind, they get forgiven (they get what ever they 
  27. want).

  29.         Atheists on the other hand have to bear their own guilt 
  30. for YEARS after they commit a `sin'.  This pain is reason enough 
  31. why atheists are compassionate and morally sound.  We carry our 
  32. own crosses- nobody died for our sins, we are alone to feel guilt 
  33. and shame.

  35.         I am an atheist, and I am compassionate.  I gave up my 
  36. career to work in a semi-voluntary fashion for science research 
  37. and education.  I make very little money- but I better mankind.

  39.         My ex-soulmate was a believer.  She cheated on me and is 
  40. now living with her boss- soon to be married to him.  She took 
  41. from me, and left me alone.  How could a person do this to another 
  42. person?  She prayed for forgiveness and was granted.  I could 
  43. never do this to someone who loved me- because I would have to 
  44. forgive myself, and a wrongful act is still wrong...........sq

  46. (atheism means to transfix god to self.  The need is still there, 
  47. and the "deity" if you will is still there, it simply becomes you 
  48. and not something "out there".  Since we become our own gods, we 
  49. must live up to our own expectations.  We must also forgive 
  50. ourselves, something that is very hard to do when your cross your 
  51. own moral barriers.  Theists do cross the line often, because they 
  52. can cry on sunday and god will relieve them of all the guilt.  
  53. Call it psychotherapy if you will- it DOES work, and it is a bad 
  54. practice.  Atheists do more good in this world, believe me.....)
