  23. This is tangential to the nudity issue, but I think it's worth making
  24. a note of.  I agree that it isn't always a good thing for a species to
  25. survive.  I may have been a little loose with my wording, but when I
  26. said "if you want a species to survive," I didn't say you should want
  27. that.  My point was that for a vertebrate species to survive, it must
  28. have sex as well as food, etc.  The corollary is that if a species
  29. survives, it must have evolved regular ways of providing itself with
  30. food, protection, and also sex.  Sex is a part of your life because of
  31. the way your species evolved.

  36. The world?  Should I believe that the world ought to be preserved with
  37. no humans in it at all?  Far from it.  I am in and of the world, I
  38. love being in it, and I want to preserve it, not for itself and other
  39. species, but for my own children and my neighbors' children.

  43. I think the human species will go through oscillations of population
  44. and evolve various ways of regulating its population before it becomes
  45. extinct.  Among these may be (warning: ObNude coming!!) the
  46. abandonment of clothing as a sex lure, as well as increased practice
  47. of non-reproductive forms of sex, including but not limited to
  48. homosexuality.
