- if you're coming from the PA, NJ, NYC area, there are plenty of ways to go,
- but here's one word of advice: DON'T TAKE I-95
-
- from PA/NJ, my rule of thumb is to also avoid NYC; so, to cross the Hudson,
- I'd take the NJ Turnpike North, (if you're starting far enough south, that is)
- get on the Garden State Parkway North, go into NY, get in I-287 East, and
- cross the Hudson on the Tappan Zee Bridge; by far not the only way to go, but
- it's what I use
-
- once you're on I-287 East, my suggested route is I-684 North, I-84 East, into
- CT, thru Hartford, into MA, and I-90 towards Boston
-
- - rich
-
- p.s. if you're heading to Springfield, slight modifications to above
- directions:
-
- I-287 East, I-684 North, I-84 East to Hartford, I-91 North to Springfield
