  19. I am perhaps showing my age, but I have never understood the attraction
  20. of those quick-cut rapid-fire extravaganzas which incessantly violate
  21. the first principle of any type of photography, that it should allow
  22. access.  I know the editing is a figleaf to hide the inability of pop
  23. stars to dance like Paula, which talent seems to be the most important
  24. attribute of MTV, but the result is actual motion sickness.
