- I heard excerpts from a recording of sea chanteys by a folk music
- co-operative called Victory, based in (the state of) Washington, on
- one of the folk music shows in New York City the other day (namely
- Dave Sear's Folk Music Almanac on WNYC-AM). This was superb
- chantey singing. I seem to recall having heard other recordings
- by this group on earlier editions of that or perhaps other folk
- music programs in NYC (maybe Robert Sherman's Woody's Children on
- WQXR). Can anyone tell me anything more about this group, such
- as who they are, what other recordings they have, etc.? Also,
- Dave Sear gave their mailing address as Box 7515, Bonnie Lake (?),
- Washington 98390; if anyone is in the know and could verify or
- correct that address, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
