  13. I'm not positive we're speaking of the same song, but "The Golden
  14. Vanity" can be found in the Child Ballads (don't recall the proper
  15. title), which should be in any good university library. "The
  16. Weep-Willow Tree" (very similar) can be found in John Jacob Niles'
  17. book of American ballads, which is easier to find: it should be in
  18. the library and also can often be found for sale new or used.

  20. Like any respectable old ballad, it's pretty long and there are many
  21. many different versions.
