  14. Certain labels like Archiv, DG, to name two, include excellent
  15. historical material in their CD inserts on the composers. Others
  16. don't, although RCA and CBS seem to be improving.  However, I am 
  17. always frustrated by the fact that not much info is included about
  18. the performers or the orchestra.  I have the whole set of 9 Beethoven
  19. symphonies by Roger Norrington and it has some info on him and his
  20. orchestra repeated in all of the CD's.

  22. Which labels include biographical info on the performers
  23. on a routine basis? Wouldn't it be nice if the material was
  24. pertinent to the performance itself? I have seen CD
  25. inserts regurgitating the same reviews for many different
  26. recordings.
