  21. which They Might Be Giants album are you talking about?

  23. if it's Apollo 18, the tracks you are talking about are all collectivly
  24. called "Fingertips", and there are 20 of them.  most of them are less
  25. than a minute or so.  if you look at the listing on the back of the
  26. case, the listing goes:
  27. 16 Hypnotist Of Ladies
  28. 17 Fingertips
  29. 38 Space Suit

  31. they are intended to be separate tracks, and there is even a reference
  32. to them in the liner notes.  
  33. "The indexing of this disc is designed to complement the Shuffle Mode of
  34. modern CD players."
  35. that way, when the player is jumping around randomly from track to
  36. track, you get a little snippet of an almost-song between the
  37. full-length songs.

  39. of course, if it's a different TMBG disc you are talking about, you
  40. prolly have a defective disc.
