- One had absolutely nothing to do with the other. Nothing about the design
- of MiniDiscs keeps you from storing data on them *un*compressed, or with a
- lossless compression algorithm. (Ditto for DCC, but with so many proven
- tape-backup formats out there already, I can't imagine why anyone would
- bother.)
