  23. on a Jazz Bird LP.  Fairly good, mono, broadcast sound.

  27. There are more satisfying Crispell albums but this one is good.  It's not
  28. as good as "Concert In Berlin," for Black Saint, with Bang, so if you have
  29. that already or can't get it, this is a good choice.  Sparks fly when
  30. Crispell and Bang play together.  A terrific partnership; I wish they'd
  31. play together again.

  35. I don't remember if this is the particular Candid CD reissue I heard, but
  36. one I did hear had an annoying mix where the piano went mostly in one
  37. channel instead of in the middle.  It was hellaciously distracting, and
  38. Mosaic did a much better job.  Of course the Mosaic is a BOX...
  39. You want to hear the music somehow, though.

  44. a spirit and fire that has rarely been captured in Art Ensemble recordings
  45. over the last twenty years.
