  11. I would like to study Johnny Hodges tone and stylistic approach
  12. to ballads, but I do not know what CD reissues to look at.
  13. Although I know his greatest work was with Duke Ellington, I
  14. didn't expect that the brief length of big band solos would
  15. provide me with enough opportunities to listen to his playing
  16. style.  I know that some of the recordings of the group he led
  17. after leaving Ellington are now available, but I don't know which
  18. to choose.  I would sincerely appreciate any help, and if you
  19. would email suggestions.  Thank you.
