  11. Perry Robinson has a record out as a leader called Funk Dumpling with
  12. Kenny Barron, Paul Motian, and Henry Grimes, I assume from the early
  13. or mid 60s.  The tunes are Moon Over Moscow, Sprites Delight, Wahayla,
  14. Farmer Alfalfa, Magareta, Funk Dumpling, and Home Is Where The Hearth
  15. Is.  Perry has quite excellent bebop chops, and also has a vocabulary of
  16. sonics a la Dolphy to some extent, but generally is smoother and more
  17. tonal.
