- Well.... Commodore actually LOST. This was the (still secret) end
- to the Atari/Commodore lawsuit where Commodore had to pay a still
- secret fine to Atari.
-
- Without getting into specifics, Amiga Corp. (I still have their
- original joystick) contracted with Atari Inc. (before Tramiel) to
- develop a computer. Well, Commodore comes in, buys Amiga, and tells
- Atari to take a hike, and that the computer development is theirs.
- Tramiel, pissed that Commodore actually released the C-16 and
- Plus/4 computers (what bricks...) left Commodore and bought Atari
- Inc. from Warner. Tramiel starts Atari Corp. and starts the lawsuit
- against Commodore, which Atari won.
-
- I guess one could say that Commodore won (???) the Amiga computer,
- but lost the lawsuit.
