  26. Yup:  Expect to see pinball heading for $1.00 per game in the
  27. relatively near future.  A few places are already there.
  28. when you realize the cost has barely chagned since the late 70's
  29. you'll realize that it is well overdue.  The main things that have
  30. changed are:  That the game time is apparently longer but the replays
  31. are usually much harder to get and fewer of them in most cases.

  33. Hopefully if and when the price of pinball catches up with
  34. inflation; at least one of the "lost" replay levels (used to be 3 
  35. and specials, now just 1 and special and HSTD; and HSTD is not
  36. much good for folks that are not very good even when they have a 
  37. good game) will be restored; however I'm betting it will not return
  38. to use again now that it has been taken away.  (Note:  The levels
  39. still exist, but by default they are not normally used and hardly any
  40. operator adds in the second or third level).

  42. There has also at times been speculation to the removal of replays
  43. leaving only Extra Balls.  From discussions I've had with some 
  44. of the folks from the Manufacturers this is not likely to
  45. happen soon if at all (Hope that is true!).
