- Yup: Expect to see pinball heading for $1.00 per game in the
- relatively near future. A few places are already there.
- when you realize the cost has barely chagned since the late 70's
- you'll realize that it is well overdue. The main things that have
- changed are: That the game time is apparently longer but the replays
- are usually much harder to get and fewer of them in most cases.
-
- Hopefully if and when the price of pinball catches up with
- inflation; at least one of the "lost" replay levels (used to be 3
- and specials, now just 1 and special and HSTD; and HSTD is not
- much good for folks that are not very good even when they have a
- good game) will be restored; however I'm betting it will not return
- to use again now that it has been taken away. (Note: The levels
- still exist, but by default they are not normally used and hardly any
- operator adds in the second or third level).
-
- There has also at times been speculation to the removal of replays
- leaving only Extra Balls. From discussions I've had with some
- of the folks from the Manufacturers this is not likely to
- happen soon if at all (Hope that is true!).
