  20.     For example, I  play  PBMs (besides PBEMs)  because  generally
  21. (this doesn't mean _always_)  they  are more  complex; ie.  they offer
  22. players a larger variety of rules, orders, and playing strategies.

  24.     Ok, there may be many PBMs with less rules than Diplomacy, for
  25. example (which hasn't _that_ many,  compared with some PBMs  I  play);
  26. however, I think  there is still a  greater variety of  PBMs to choose
  27. from, and you may pick the one that you think it's worth its cost!

  29.     On PBEMs, you can  "afford" to play simple games  (they can be
  30. lots  of fun, too!), as  they  are free...  and  there  are a few more
  31. complex (I'm  thinking about Olympia, for instance),  and  you can try
  32. them, too, for free.

  34.     So, even with access to the Internet, many may me playing PBMs
  35. just because they _can_ offer more...

  42.     Is that true? You may  be right...  Speaking  strictly from my
  43. local point of  view,  I know just   two  or  three  persons  who play
  44. regularly PBMs  and PBEMs. I know a  lot of them with Internet access,
  45. but who don't play any PBEMs (just PBMs), and  a  lot of them who also
  46. have access to the Internet, but who play just PBEMs...

  48.     So, you may be right after all... but the reason _why_ this is
  49. so still eludes me.
