- Hi,
-
- After being away from Moria for a few years, I've been trying to get back into
- it. I have access to an 8088 machine at home (ick), a 386 at work as well as a
- mainframe (VMS). I'd like to be able to play the same character on all three
- platforms, and in color on the 386. Is this asking the impossible?
-
- Here's as far as I've gotten:
- o got the source for 5.4 and 5.5 from ftp.cis.ksu.edu, compiled it on VMS and
- they both work fine.
- o got executables from there as well for color 5.4 (x86 version, I assume),
- 5.5 x86, 5.5 88, 5.4[sic] x86 and 5.4[sic] 88. The [sic]s are because they
- are actually 5.3, which I found out when trying to restore one of their save
- files into 5.4 (VMS). Color 5.4 seems to work pretty good, 5.5 and 5.3 all
- work okay, too.
- o tried to compile source on PC using MicroSoft C 6.0. Had to get pccurses,
- tried to make libraries, failed because I don't have MASM. I want to
- compile 5.4 for an 8088 processor so I can use the same character on VMS
- 5.4, x86 5.4 (color) and 88 5.4.
-
- Can anyone help me? Is there a color 5.5 version? Is there a way I can get an
- actual 5.4 executable? Is there something I'm missing trying to compile
- pccurses and eventually 5.4 on my PC? Is there really a Santa Claus?
-
- E-mail or posts greatly appreciated.
-
- Todd
