- Almost anywhere, but they become more and more common as you go deeper,
- down to 2750 where the frequency levels off.
-
- How common are gain stats
- >potions?
-
- It varies with level. Gain stat potions are the greatest proportion of
- items at 1250, but since items are more common (dragons have lots of items) at
- 1500 they are more common there. You might want to head up a couple of levels.
-
- I'm a 26th level ranger, human, with a holy avenger lance and
- >about 32 armour class at 1600' (level 32). Does that sound about right
- >or am I being to whimpy/ballsy?
-
- You're being about as ballsy as you want to be. You should get better
- armor (excuse me, armour); even with unenchanted stuff from the armor shop you
- can get AC 29. Whenever you go to the surface, buy all the Enchant Armor and
- Enchant Weapon scrolls the alchemist's has, and take off all but your *least*
- enchanted armor before reading, as that will increase your chance of success.
- You should also be finding Iron Helms and Hard Leather Boots and such down
- there as well.
-
- How do you know what speed your at, I read
- >in the FAQ that you need speed x to kill y, how do you find this stat out?
-
- If you are spees +1 you will see Fast at the bottom of the screen, if
- you are speed 2 or above it will say Very Fast. You are at normal unless you
- have cast/quaffed/used an appropriate spell/item, or are wearing Boots or Ring
- of Speed. Items of speed are cumulative with each other and with temporary
- haste, but different temporary hastes are cumulative in duration.

-
- Beams of light do damage to some kinds of monsters (mostly Jellies and
- some undead. Wisdom is of little use to a Ranger, but I nelieve it helps your
- (and anyone else's) saving throws.
