-
- Well, Sven, if it takes three years, it takes three years. Looks like
- my friend who married a girl from germany is in for a big surprise as the
- immiggration officals told them the wrong time period.
-
- Guess they should have had you working in the office.
-
- Further--even if I am wrong as to how long it takes an foreigner to become a US
- citizen--BFD. I have never had a class in immigration law, nor will I ever. I
- don't plan on practicing immigration law, as I want to keep the trash out of
- America, not help it get in.

-
- So, an Iraqi citizen, who comes to the US should obey all Iraqi laws, including
- those which prohibit trading with America. He should panhandle and not buy
- anything. Should live on the street. Because if he does have a change of heart
- and want to return, either to live or visit a relative, he SHOULD BE subject to
- an Iraqi court for his crimes against the people of Iraq while in the U.S.
-
- Makes real good sense Sven. Real humanistic approach to the law.
-
- Good, bad, or indifferent, the law is the law.
-
- Go watch Les Miserables.

-
- No Sven, don't try and pin such an absurd belief upon me. It is YOU who think
- a country can extend its whims all over the globe. I believe American Law does
- NOT extend to Yugoland anymore than Iraqi law extends to beautiful Southern
- California.
-
- Gee Sven, since you chose the absurd answer previously (Iraqi law should
- control the Iraqis in the U.S.) lets take it even more extreme...
-
- Suppose you have a Monggolian national who has just come to the U.S. Mongolian
- law permits a husband to beat his wife--even to the death. He beats his
- wife to the death while here in the U.S., but while he is still a Monglolian
- citizen. Should our courts give difference to the fact he is a Mongolian
- citizen???
-
- (Ed. note to Everyone else: These cases are happening in the California courts,
- and the husbands either get murder or reckless homocide, as the laws of the US
- and california are the only laws which apply in California. But, let's see how
- backwardss Sven can reason this one!)

- Welll, maybe if you would think before you typed you wouldn't be in such a
- bitter state.
