- I'm always amazed by the depth of information found on the InterNet. The
- quick summary is:
- 1. Batteries are measured in Ah (not A/H) and they may not give all
- of their amps up over any given amount of time (100 Ah = 20A * 5h,
- but not 5A * 20h).
- 2. The you can't compare Amps at different voltages, only Watts
- (makes sense, since Watts are the unit of work).

- So, the 600W microwave takes about 60A per hour of operation at 12V,
- depending on the efficiency of the inverter. A 900Ah battery would let you
- run about 7.5 hours if you wanted to only use half of your battery.
