- You can get an older J/24 for under $7500, but I would have guess that
- $15K is only 50% too high for a 1986 boat with trailer.

- Keep in mind that you'll be paying about $1K ea. for a main, 150 and chute.

- Be sure to ask someone with J/24 experience to look over the boat,
- especially for water damage under the deck fittings near the mast and around
- where the chainplates bolt to the bulkhead.
