  13. Wasn't the US Coast Guard funded for years by tax dollars from the general
  14. fund?  This was paid mostly by non-boaters.  As a boater I'm happy that
  15. the tax is no more but I can't say its unfair to me that I pay money
  16. into a general fund, even if it doesn't increase the Guards' allocation.
  17. Wouldn't it take quite a few years of taxing us boaters to repay Uncle
  18. Sam for Coast Guard service of the last 40 years or so?  Then the Govm't
  19. also does a lot of sea charts, at a loss I might add.
