  13. The Sacramento Bee reported yesterday (12/29) that the Old Sacramento Lottery
  14. Criterium for 1993 has been canceled.  Apparently the promoter and a committee
  15. representing merchants in the area could not come to an agreement on money.  Other
  16. disagreements involved start times (traditionally a twilight event, the merchants
  17. wanted to move it to daytime).

  19. One committee member stated that the race had no benefits at all for Old Sacramento.

  21. The Lottery Crit had its beginnings as a stage in the Coors Classic.  It has
  22. always attracted a good field and I hope it can be resurrected somehow.
