- Hello:
-
- Here's my problem:
- I have just installed a use turbo 350 in my 1973 chevy malibu.
-
- the transmission seems to work fine with one exception - it does not
-
- want to shift by itself in drive. Shifting manually, it works fine.
-
- I've been looking at it with a mechanic and we checked the vacuum, the
-
- modulator, and the governor, all appeared to be OK. The trans will shift
-
- on its own in drive, but you have to rev it WAY up there to get it to go.
-
- I tried it out last night, and the kickdown works just fine, and it'll
-
- upshift on its own, but normal drive is still a problem. Adjusting the
-
- modulator had little effect.
-
- Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
