- I have a 55 Chevy car. It's a Bel Air with a stock 235 engine, and a
- powerglide transmission.
-
- Until the other day, this car ran perfect. I had come home from the store,
- and put the car into reverse to back it into place, and the car went nowhere.
- I can put the transmission INTO reverse, but it just doesn't move (engage?) It
- as though it's still in neutral. The car runs fine in drive (hi and low), and
- shifts just fine.
- So, my question is, what could possibly be wrong with the transmission?
- Anyone out there with ANY ideas?
