- Hey, here's a question for you installation-parts-and-stuff pros:
-
- I'm getting a new Mazda MX6 soon, and I'm considering my options for CD.
- Mazda offers both a dash mount CD, seperate from the AM/FMcassette unit, and
- a trunk mounted changder. I haven't checked on the price of the changer,
- cause Iknow it's astronomical. The dash unit is 680 bucks. I looked in
- a 929, with the changer installed, and could tell that the equipment is Pioneer.
-
- What I'm wondering is: Is there a connector on the radio to which the CD
- source is connected to, so that it switches to CD whenever one is inserted,
- or the conrtrol on the changer is activated? Can a stereo installer get
- this kind of connector so that I could get an aftermarket changer, but have
- it connected the same as the factory unit?
- The radio-cassettte is not a controller, so there would be a control plate.
-
- Thought I should check here before I call around.
-
- Thanks,
- Peter

- P.S. Please email responses.
