- Hate to be a nit-picking pain, but an infinite baffle enclosure is NOT the
- same as a sealed enclosure.
-
- An infinite baffle 'enclosure' is just a driver mounted in an infinitely
- large baffle board. Since no one has an infinite amount of space in their
- car, we are forced to do it a little differently. The trunk is accoustically
- sealed from the passenger compartment, and the driver is mounted in the
- baffle board that seperates the two.
-
- This sort of set-up has advantages and disadvantages, but I can't generally
- recommend it for most people because of the importance of driver selection
- and the severe and permanent changes to the car. (That, and you get all
- the metal things in your trunk sticking to the driver motor assemblies!) :)
-
- Sealed is, of course, in a sealed box. This was not be what the dealer
- was offering.
-
- - As always, a pain,
- - Cal
