  16. Well, let's face facts here... Quantum leap has been ranked in the
  17. Nielsons below 70 (around 75) for the past few weeks. It's been as low
  18. as 79th in the week. This is way below last year's average. The time
  19. shift is probably the factor. ABC Comedys and Rescue 911 are
  20. DESTROYING Quantum Leap in the ratings. (They are top 30 if I recall)

  22. It is almost impossible to get the energy to make the proposal that QL
  23. will be back in light of the ratings. You know things are bad when
  24. Ross Perot gets better ratings than Quantum Leap.

  26. As optimistic as Don or NBC may seem now, I would MUCH rather say at
  27. this time that QL will probably end this season based on the numbers,
  28. unless the ratings get back in the 50's at minimum.

  30. Here's one last hope of a new season: Universal is starting their own
  31. network. If they pick up Quantum Leap and show it Wednesday's at 10,
  32. it could WIN the timeslot, or at least be more competative, because the
  33. competition is similar: 48 hours, Law & Order, Civil Wars.

  35. Unless things improve, I would rather be pessamistic than optimistic
  36. and saying 'Gee, I REALLY thought it would be renewed.' I would rather
  37. be suprised than feel dumb in light of the current ratings.
