- OK, I admit I'm a sucker for westerns, so I watched the pilot for this
- last night even though I rarely watch much series TV.
-
- Overall, it looked like a ripoff of "Paradise" to me -- the convenient
- family of orphaned children, the obvious romantic sparks between the
- rich, respectable lady and the not-so-respectable man, and even the
- landlord/tenant relationship being used as an excuse for them to be
- acquainted! I was also bugged by the overly P.C. sentiments and some
- other inauthentic details (e.g., the so-called "wolf" was clearly a dog).
- I guess I'll give it a couple more episodes anyway, to see how it develops
- as a series.
