- I like the Simpsons as well as Blackadder, but neither cracks me up
- nearly as much as Kids in the Hall. IMHO, they have this incredible
- energy and freshness that I don't see in anything else.

- For me, it doesn't interfere at all with the comedy; it would
- annoy me if they were inserting gay issues into it for the sake of
- correctness... but they're not. Scott's monologues are always a
- treat, and he knows what he's talking about.

-
- I don't particularly find anything funny about dressing in drag
- either. Do they rely heavily on it in Kids? Perhaps... but more
- for its necessity than for its comedic effect. For the most part,
- they try to play women as "realistically" as possible.
-
- ...which leads to my point (oh, you have one?). IMHO, I think the
- comedy of Kids in the Hall is derived mostly from their acting and
- comedy skills; they manage to imbue an element of believability
- into new characters and to inject quirky mannerisms into each.
- So to conclude, it would be difficult to envision the current
- Kids replaced by a completely new cast (a la SNL -- ooh... the
- Lorne Michaels connection!).

- Same here. Whatever gets your crank going.
