  18. It is the second feature film by director Hal Hartley, the first being the
  19. rather wonderful, "The Unbelievable Truth". "Trust" is similar in
  20. style to that film, and stars the same lead actress (Adrienne
  21. Shelley) but is less "light" and more cynical than its predecessor.
  22. Mind you, I still love it. Hartley has a unique style that has to be
  23. seen to be appreciated - it's hard to describe. His films (which he
  24. also writes) have a fascination with wordplay that make the films
  25. worth sitting through more than just the once.

  27. I suggest you hire (if you can find it) "The Unbelievable Truth" first,
  28. then "Trust". The latter is available on Republic Pictures Home Video.
  29. It's also on laserdisc.

  31. Hartley's new film, completed quite a while ago, is "Simple Men", which
  32. should be showing in the US by now.

  34. Robert Burke, who stars in both "Unbelievable Truth" and "Simple Men",
  35. took over from Peter Weller as Robocop in the forthcoming (still!) Robocop
  36. III.
