  28. Like the recent discussion on 'top ten movies', this is again an effort
  29. to judge what the 'best' movies are, and, perhaps, which countries like
  30. the 'best' movies more.
  31. While there are a number of bad things that can be said about americans,
  32. calling us 'very ignorant' because we don't like (or, more often) don't
  33. have a chance to see your 'masterpieces' reeks of cultural arrogance.
  34. Is movie rating a branch of logic?  Or is it a democratic system whereby
  35. everyone (including 'ignorant' americans) gets to 'vote' by spending
  36. their dollars.
  37. In my own case, there are few 'types' of movies i don't like.  I try to
  38. watch a variety of movies, including, when possible, foreign movies.
  39. Unlike many net-posters, i don't dwell on movies i didn't like.  I
  40. tend to talk about movies i liked, and even parts that i liked of
  41. movies i didn't really like.  'like like like'

  43. Rather than criticize us, why don't you suggest some movies, and
  44. perhaps even give a paragraph of review, with the intention of
  45. making us want to see the movie?
