- Like the recent discussion on 'top ten movies', this is again an effort
- to judge what the 'best' movies are, and, perhaps, which countries like
- the 'best' movies more.
- While there are a number of bad things that can be said about americans,
- calling us 'very ignorant' because we don't like (or, more often) don't
- have a chance to see your 'masterpieces' reeks of cultural arrogance.
- Is movie rating a branch of logic? Or is it a democratic system whereby
- everyone (including 'ignorant' americans) gets to 'vote' by spending
- their dollars.
- In my own case, there are few 'types' of movies i don't like. I try to
- watch a variety of movies, including, when possible, foreign movies.
- Unlike many net-posters, i don't dwell on movies i didn't like. I
- tend to talk about movies i liked, and even parts that i liked of
- movies i didn't really like. 'like like like'
-
- Rather than criticize us, why don't you suggest some movies, and
- perhaps even give a paragraph of review, with the intention of
- making us want to see the movie?
