  22. "Fenric" didn't have a possible 20-25 minutes of footage for them to use,
  23. that's a common rumor that came out of an error made originally when the
  24. completed episodes were timed.  There was about 10 minutes of footage
  25. available.  
  26. I would argue further that a story is complete and must be considered as such
  27. when the Producer says it is complete, thus "Planet of Giants" is complete
  28. as is because that's the way Verity Lambert wanted it.
  29. Conversely, "Silver Nemesis" and "The Curse of Fenric" were not complete until
  30. these new video releases when John Nathan-Turner readded material he and
  31. the directors of those stories wanted in the things originally but had to be
  32. cut to fit the transmission slot.

  34. Also, it is perfectly legal, at least it is in the US, to tape something
  35. directly off television and keep it for your own possible use, for however
  36. long you like.
