  14.     Jon Carroll, a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, devotes
  15. an entire column to these once in a while. He calls them Mondegreens. The
  16. derivation of the name escapes me, except that, like malapropism, it is
  17. an eponym. (Anyone who really wants to know the details can ask him by
