- Like Paul Callahan, I read fewer books than many of you who have posted.
- Also, like him, I read very few "non-serious" books, genre fiction, etc.

- Still -- I answered "yes" to a mojority of the "biblioholic" questions.

- A good friend of mine likes to tell a story about when she was a kid.
- All of her sisters were out of the house, and her father wanted to get
- rid of her -- so that he could (how shall I put this) be alone with
- her mother for a while. To accomplish this, he gave her some money,
- and told her to go buy something with it. She returned in five minutes
- with a new book.

- This is the same woman who used to sleep with The Norton Anthology, when
- I was married to her.
