  13. My mother, when I was punishing her with my early musical
  14. taste on our victrola, had a charming habit of misunderstanding
  15. the lyrics and, upon being corrected, saying, "Oh.  I like it
  16. better my way."  The best of these, I think, was her version
  17. of Sly & the Family Stone's "It's a Family Affair" -- "It's
  18. a Family of Bears."  She thought it sweet but odd that I 
  19. would retain my fondness for Goldilocks so long.
