- The title is actually _Inspector Saito's Small Satori_. It's not an
- "Amsterdam cop" mystery. It's a collection of short stories about Saito
- Masanobu, a detective on the Kyoto police force. I didn't find the Saito
- stories as entertaining as the Grijpstra/de Gier series, but there *is* a lot
- of Zen in them.
-
- Van de Wetering also wrote an autobiographical non-fiction book entitled _A
- Glimpse of Nothingness: Experiences in an American Zen Community_.
- Interesting reading, especially if you enjoy his simple, rather whimsical
- writing style.
